C2W, the Dutch magazine for chemists, article on benefits of polymeric flame retardants

Flame retardants are used in plastic applications to comply with fire safety regulations in many applications areas like electronics, building and construction, and transportation. Many of the traditional halogenated flame retardants are not allowed to be used anymore. Therefore, chemists and plastic producers are looking for alternatives, focusing on polymeric and non-halogenated flame retardants. C2W, the Dutch magazine for chemists, life sciences and process technology, published an article with the backgrounds and trends in flame retardants technology. In this article, Dr. Jan-Pleun Lens, Vice President of FRX Polymers, highlights the benefits of polymeric flame retardants. This article is in Dutch.
